Chua Ai Ming
Assistant Manager (AAS, TA, TOC & PS)
A veteran in her field, Ms. Chua has been with Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) since 1996 and is in-charge of application support for Total Organic Carbon Analyzer, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Thermal Analyzers and Particle Size Analyzers.
Her current responsibilities include conducting training, seminars and workshops, developing analytical methods, preparing training materials and application notes. She obtained her MSc from the Nanyang University of Singapore (NTU).
Cynthia Lahey
Assistant Manager (GC & GCMS)
Cynthia obtained her MSc. in Chemistry at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She started working with GC and GCMS in Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) in 2003, including various techniques such as headspace, SPME, thermal desorption and pyrolyzer.
With more than 18 years of experience, she has delivered numerous GC & GCMS training courses, participated in international seminars, workshops and conferences as well as developed application notes for Shimadzu (Asia Pacific).

Dr. Sun Zhe
Asst. Principal Chemist (LC & LCMS)
In the last 12 years, Dr. Sun has conducted numerous LC
& LCMS training courses, participated in international seminars, workshops
and conferences as well as developed application notes for Shimadzu (Asia
Pacific).
Dr. Sun He started working with HPLC and LCMS in Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) since 2008, supporting various application techniques such as HPLC, GPC, IC, LCMS, LCMSMS, Q-TOF etc. He obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Dr. Hou Pei Ling
Senior Application Chemist (LC & LCMS)
As a senior application chemist in Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) since 2018, Dr. Hou expertise lies in method development and research using HPLC, LC-MS/MS and high-resolution LC-MS technologies.
She holds a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the National University of Singapore (NTU).

Liw Wan Tung
Product specialist (LC)
Wan Tung, is a LC/LCMS Senior Application Chemist at Shimadzu Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. She has 12 years of working experience in analytical science, specializing in method development of various LC/LCMS applications as well as published application notes for Shimadzu (Asia Pacific).
Wan Tung was invited as speakers in workshops and seminars as well as participated in international conferences. Prior to joining Shimadzu, Wan Tung started her professional career as a QAQC chemist in Pharmaceutical multinational company. She earned her bachelor’s honour’s degree in chemistry back in 2009.

Lai Kit Yee
Senior Application Chemist (LC & LCMS)
Kit Yee joined Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) as a senior
application chemist in 2021. She graduated from National University of
Singapore (NUS) with an Honour Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) in 2003.
Kit Yee has more than 15 years of working experience with HPLC and LC-MS/MS specialising in method development and analytical testing of food sample.

Elgin Ting
Application Chemist (GC & GCMS)
With his expertise in GC and GCMS, Elgin has been solving customer application issues since he joined Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) in 2016. For the past 4 year, he also provides training and develop applications involving accessories like headspace, pyrolyzer and thermal desorption for users from multiple industries.
He has a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore (NUS).

Field Application Chemist (Spectro, TOC, AAS, PS)
Zhen Hao started working in Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) in 2016 and has been handling various analytical instruments such as UV-Vis, FTIR, TOC, AAS, SALD and RF.
For the past 5 years, he has delivered numerous spectroscopy training courses, provided application support for users from multiple industries as well as developed application notes for Shimadzu (Asia Pacific).
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Application Chemist (GC & GCMS)
Elvi graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with an Honour Bachelor in Science (Chemistry) in 2016. She continue her career path on the analytical chemistry field.
She has been working with GC and GCMS to develop new application while providing operational trainings and customer support with high customer satisfactory index for the past 3 years.

Lim Jun Jie Desmond
Application Chemist (LC & LCMS)
Desmond graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with BSc (Hon) in 2017. He continued his career path in academia before joining Shimadzu in 2021. He is well-verse in isolation and purification of peptides and glycopeptides with LC system.
Yeap Yoon Ting
Application Chemist (ICP & ICPMS)
Yoon Ting obtained her MSc. in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2017. With the job experiences and the skills which developed during her past working experiences, Yoon Ting has dealt with various types of analytical testing apart from performing variety of analysis using wet chemistry and separation techniques as well as analytical instruments. Her background and skills enable her to develop her technical expertise in complex inorganic analyses using ICP/ ICP-MS.
Tan Qi An
Application Chemist (SPECTRO, TOC, AAS, PS)
Qi An graduated from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry with a Second Major in Food Science and Technology in 2021. He continues his career in the field of analytical chemistry with Shimadzu.
